DO I have TINNITUS?

Dont know, maybe?

http://www.ehealthmd.com/library/tinnitus/TIN_whatis.html

The only way I can describe what I am hearing in my right ear is a morse code type of sound in my right ear, its been going on since I think monday, maybe sunday. Its EXTREMELY annoying. Its not a ringing or a buzzing, just like a constant tapping/ morse code type noise! When I close my ear, the sound goes away, when I'm up and active, the sound goes away, but when I'm sitting and watching TV, or at the computer the sounds comes back, the tap tap tap tap is repetative and constant and Chris asked me if it was consistant with my pulse, and its not.

I'm not going to really look into this, but its interesting to read up on it. What I have been reading, it only occurs in your right ear, I cant find the blogs about it that I found last night!, but there were a bunch of people that had the same morse code type sounds as me. apparently that sound in rare in Tinnitus patients, it may also accompany hardening of the arteries, high blodd prssere or an anurism, And that makes me curious because I am a migraine sufferer, and I ALWAYS susspected that Anurisms accompanied migraines and now an anuryism may accompany Tinnitus?

I have an appointed with an ENT doctor on Wednesday. I'll tell you what he say!!

I bought a MUSTEK 19 X 11 1/2" scanner like 6 years ago, a friend of mine (THANKS JULES) recommended it to me. It was actually UNDER $200!! All I ever use it for is scanning my 12x12 scrapbook pages. Well recently, you can see, its really scanning badly, I am bumming!! And it also doesnt come with drivers to upgrade to Vista and I will be getting a new laptop soon and who knows if it even has the drivers for Windows 7. Soooo I am going to start saving for a new full size flat bed scanner! I can get a decent one for around $1100. I can save for about 6 months and I'll get one.

So until then, We'll have to put up with the crappy scans! Thanks for looking!!

CARD SET

I made 3 each of these cards, prabably for a teachers gift or something, I like to have those 'just in case gifts' ready!

Theres a lot going on! I used those cute little mikes stamps, machine sewing, On some of the cards, I wet the paper alot but was careful not to tear it and made it into a ball, then made it flat again then ironed it out, that gave it texure. I accorden folded the paper, used brads, & SU stamps!

The Story of the smoke detectors & the Firemen.

OK, so Mary and I arrive at our new home on August 13th. The Moving truck isnt schedualed to arrive until SAT the 15th first thing in the morning. We walk in and The first thing we notice is the smoke detectors are chirping, well anyone who knows smoke detectors knows that sound is crazy annoying! So I call David (hes the owner of Greenfield housing who sold me this BRAND NEW 2009 manufactured home!) and I ask him why are they chirping? He says to pull out the plastic strip from the detectors, the batteries must make contact with the metal piece in the detector. I did that, they stopped chirping, we were all happy, especially Molly the dog!!

SO Sat. moring the movers arrive and our home is piled high with boxes upon boxes of STUFF, my sister is helping with the kitchen, I feel like a chicken with its head cut off because I dont know where to start!

AT about 2:30 am sunday morning the detectors started going OFF!! Yup, they were chirping then going off, chirping then going off! It was CRAZY!!! Mary was in tears I was almost in tears and Molly the dog was FREAKING OUT!!!! After trying to contact my sister and my husband unsuccessfully to ask them what I should do (pulling out the batteries didnt help) I called the none emergency line of the Clayton Police department. HAHA, we along came a big ole firetruck with all its pretty lights on!! With 4 really nice looking young firemen in the truck! And the fire chief came too in his SUV.

They came to the conclusion that one of the detectors was broken, they took it down, they stopped chirping and told me if you have any more problems "Dont hesitate to call" They were all really nice!!

Well, not 10 minutes after they left, the detectors went off again!! Chirp the they went off and again and again and again!! So this time just the chief came back and he replaced the batteries in the remaining 3 detectors and they stopped chirping.

So all was well, I noticed a week or so later that all the green lights were off on the detectors, so I checked the breaker box and the breaker for the detectors was tripped. I wasent about to flip it, in fear of having them go off again!!

So fast forward to today, SEPT 17th, after numerous calls & emails to the people at Greenfield housing (they are very nice BTW, just busy selling houses) An electrician comes to put up a new detector where the fire cheif had taken down the *broken* one. He replaced it, and all the detectors started chriping!! Well he knew someing wasent right! He crawled under the home and noticed some wires were arcing (sp? SPARKING!!) OMG!! So he took his players and pulled them and he showed me the burnt up section of wiring!!! He said when he fliped the breaker back on and the detectors started chirping again, that when the arcing must have started, and he was pretty positive that that would have caused a fired if I had turned the breaker back on, its a good thing I left the breaker off! He replaced all the wiring below, all the detectors show green lights and all is well.

So it never was the detector to begin with, they were chirping because of faulty wiring!! I mean if I was home and smelt smoke, I would have gotten out of the house and all and gotten the animals out, we would have lost all our stuff, but can you imagine if I was out shopping for the day, the animals would have been toast by the time somebody would have actually called the fire department. I mean they had a really quick responce time, but they wouldnt have known there were animals in here, the whole floor would have burnt and the animals would have been dead! OH man, I wish I took a picture of it, I mean of the wire thing the electrician showed me.

North Carolina

The few of you who read my lil' ole blog, know the big ole headache with the house up in Jersey, so I'm not going to rehash that whole thing.

So we HAD buyers and they backed out, we had our house off the market for 6 weeks and our realtor and the office she works out of and her manager did an absolutely horible job handeling the whole siuation. I think the buyers had multiple home under contract (they never made a big deposit) just a measly $1000. And there was lack of communication, it was ridiculous. Our lawyer & realtor should have cut those people off much sooner so we could have gotten our house back up on the market.

So the contract with that office expired on AUG 18th, we stayed with weichert but went with another office. We relisted the house on a friday, and that sunday we had an offer! It has since gone through attorney review, the Inspection went fine and they deposited 10% down! SO our closing is SEP25th.

I bought a manufactured home in NC, It has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, dining room (I use as the craft room) and the living room is so big, I put the dining table in one side of it near the kitchen and the other 1/2 is the living room. Its in a mobil home park, or a double wide trailor. My sister told me if it has axels, its a trailor, if not, its a manufactured home. Either way, its big! The kitchen is bigger then what I had in my stick home, so is the diningroom & livingroom!

** Edited to add, My sister said "a trailor carries lawn equipment" :) We have a manufactured home. We have no mortgage payment, no credit card payment and we own our cars! How many people can say that! And money in the bank for lotsa rainy days!

Mary loves her school, I love my neighbors! We dont have to mow anymore, a lawn maintence crew come and mows & trims.

Theres a movie theater that has $2.00 movies anytime of the day & weekends!! The malls are awesome and theres a HUGE flea market everysat in Raleigh. The NC state fair is coming up in OCT, we cant wait for that!
I only ordred an 8x10 deck out back, We're getting the guy to came back and increase it to like 16 x 12, I dont know what I was thinking??!!
We have to plant some bushes out front and we are going to put a larger deck out front also. Its a real cute place, we like it alot!

My Dad / * UPDATE * at end of post

My Parents were alcholics, My Dad was an admitted alcholic, he went into a treatment center when I was like 10 I think and I guess then you call it a recovering alcholic. My Mom was also an alcholic, even when my Dad was recovering, she still drank really heavy. Her drinking got even heavier after they retired. Her prefered drink was vodka on the rocks.

I remember good times with my Dad as a child, but now that I am an adult, the good times I remember are the times when he was at the bar or had just gone to the liquor store to pick up some booze. He would bring us girls to a bar called FOGARTYS down in Georgetown. We were too little to stay home alone. There was a round table at the end of the bar, and while Dad sat at the bar, I would sit at the table with some cards or some toys while my dad drank at the bar. I remember a few times he would bring me to Caldors then we'd stop at the Ice cream store on the way home home then to the liquor store.

After I got married and had a child and lived far away from my parents, whenever I would call my parents house, my dad would answer and ever so quickly he would say "I'll get your mother" My mother was really so loving and supporting of me. Really made me feel comfortable of my decions and things and helped advice me and the support and love of a parent felt so good.

My dad ALWAYS had a mean streak in him, I'm not talking abusive or anything like that. Just mean, not a loving dad to his Girls, not like other dads. can I just say he was going through the motions that he had to. There were no loving hugs, or Dad time with us, he did what he had to do and when I got in the way or bothered him, I was a nusence.

After my mom died, he really has become the meanest, nastiest person I know. I wish I had a loving & supporting father that so many people talk about.

When My husband lost his job and I told my dad we had to sell our house, he says "Well Janet, best of luck to you both" I broke down crying on the phone telling him that Chris lost his job and we had to sell, I was so scared. There was absolutely no emotion in his voice, he doesnt care. There was no "I love you Janet, if you need me I 'll here for you, if you guys need a place to stay, just call" I mean I wasent LOOKING for money I wasent looking for handouts, its not like that, I was hoping for moral support, Like I got from my sisters and FRIENDS!!! My dad spoke to me like he would speak to the checkout lady at the walmart!!

He hasent called me to ask how Chris is, or how I am or mary. He goes through the motions of what he has to do, definately not what he wants to do. I talked to him today, I told him we sold the house, didnt even ask about Chris or mary, he asks if we got what we wanted for the house???? I'm like "UH DAD, we're in a ression, you really think we got what we wanted for the house????"

Thank God he lives in FL, cause he can spend his last days down there by himself, or my sisters can spend the holidays with him, not me. He is a heartless man.

My In-laws have the smallest house and like No money. WHen we told them Chris lost his job and we had to sell, they were like "if you guys need ANYTHING you just let us know!!" Even his friend Richy who is poor as dirt, offered to put us up in his house for as long as we wanted!! I think My Dad thinks that if he were to get too cloase, then we'd ask for money. I have NEVER asked for money from my parents, EVER!!! My dad has ALOT of money, and all I want is a dad who freaking gives a shit.

You know what makes me feel better about the whole thing, when hes freaking 90 yrs old, he'll be all alone, stinky & nasty having stangergers change his diapers because his family wants nothing to do with his sorry ass. And thats how I feel.

I cant say I hate my dad, but I can say I dont love him. You can also say I dont really feel anything towards him. Mary has one grandfather, and thats my father in law, and he loves mary to pieces, my in-laws are really going to miss 'thier' little girl!!

SEP 14th
When I hold things in, I get more upset and more upset and I'm sure alot of you guys are like that. Well, I'm not going to change what I said above, and I do still feel most of what I wrote, But I have gotten alot off my chest and talked to him about my feelings. No, I didnt say anything horrible at him. I told him that I felt that when he calls to talk to me, that he cant wait to get off the phone, it makes me feel as if he *has* to call, not that he wants to. And I told him that that hurts my feelings. That when I told him Chris lost his job & we had to sell our house, there were no comforting words, I was hurt, stuff like that. He told me he doesnt like talking on the phone. I told him not everybody does, even if you only have 3 things to say, you can make those things sound genuine, but dont make it seem like you've got something more important to do other then speaking to me. He understood, said he was sorry and he'll try harder. it made me feel better. Maybe we'll get a lil' closer, who knows?
